Week 1: The ten weeds or native plants you can see are:

  • 1) Ragwort, Common (Jacobaea vulgaris)
  • 2) Dock, Broadleaf (Rumex obtusifolia)

Week 2: This is about ten weeds you can encounter in tropical climate countries, many being introduced via Botanical gardens, who first had them on display or accidental as seeds in other imported plants. The ten plants you can watch are:

  • 1) Tree marigold, Mexican sunflower (Tithonia diversifolia)
  • 2) Giant knotweed, Sakhalin knotweed (Reynoutria sachalinensis)
  • 3) Common lantana, wild sage(Lantana camara)
  • 4) Blue flies, blue stars (Aristea ecklonii)
  • 5) Guinea grass, green panic grass (Megathyrsus maximus)
  • 6) Bracken, brake (Pteridium aquilinum)
  • 7) Gorse, furze, whin(Ulex europaeus)
  • 8) Siam weed, Christmas bush, devil weed(Chromolaena odorata)
  • 9) Pond apple, alligator apple, swamp apple (Annona glabra)
  • 10)Common water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes)
